Employee ideas at the heart of Finnchain’s development – Strategy day sparks concrete proposals
The group work focused on where Finnchain is doing extremely well and where there is still room for improvement.
Finnchain took its staff from the office to the seaside for a day. In the magnificent surroundings of Marina Vista, there was enthusiastic discussion about the current situation and opportunities for the near future.
“The team clearly needed something like this. People are interested in their work and in how the company is doing. The strategy day was a real success. I got lots of comments and ideas. Some of them will definitely be reflected in our development plans”, says CEO Krister Stenbom.
The group work focused on where Finnchain is doing extremely well and where there is still room for improvement. Changes in the operating environment were discussed together, and consideration was given to whether they would require changes in the company itself.
"I gained a comprehensive view of how our employees see the situation. We discussed where we want to go and how we can get there. I am proud of the team's commitment and entrepreneurial attitude”, says Stenbom.
A comprehensive overview of the current situation is important for the CEO when listing concrete department-specific measures.
Development day once a year?
A similar event will also be organized for production employees, but with a slightly different focus.
"The intention is to make these development days a regular occurrence. Once a year could be a good frequency”.
He adds that the issues raised will be discussed further before then, for example in staff meetings.
“I promised to bring certain issues to the attention of the board. I have already done so.”
Krister Stenbom did not assign himself to any working group. "I helped a little if a group was stuck. However, I avoided steering the discussion too much," says the CEO. Krister is second from the left.
