Bowei Allen Li IS CLEARLY THE BEST: "Precise and efficient solution-orientation"

Bowei Allen Li’s role is very diverse, and the variety keeps things interesting. No two projects are exactly the same – each one has something new or needs modifications.

Designer Bowei Allen Li creates the technical drawings that serve as the foundation for assembling and putting Finnchain's scrapers into operation. At times, he also participates in installation supervision, test runs, and final inspections. His technical expertise and solution-oriented mindset ensure efficiency.

CLEARLY IN DAILY BASIS

As a designer, I create technical drawings based on which the parts are assembled in Rauma and installed in their final form at the project site. My work also includes documentation, drafting work instructions, and providing technical support to customers.

CLEARLY AT POINT

I primarily work in Rauma. There are three designers on our team, each with their own projects, but we assist each other whenever needed. Occasionally, I also handle installation supervision. This usually happens either at the beginning, where I provide guidance on key installation considerations, or at the end, during test runs and final inspections.

CLEARLY WITH EXPERIENCE

I graduated from SAMK with a degree in Mechanical and Production Engineering in 2019. I worked as a designer in a company providing design services for shipbuilding, offshore, and process industries. I wanted a new direction in my career and found it at Finnchain in 2022.

CLEARLY FOR KNOWLEDGE

Technical expertise and terminology, proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design software, as well as the ability to read drawings and solve problems under tight deadlines are essential in design work. Of course, no one can know everything, but the ability to research and resolve new challenges is crucial.

Traveling is an integral part of installation supervision. I am familiar with different cultures, their ways of working, and communication practices. Language skills are also highly beneficial — I speak Finnish and English, as well as Chinese.
